WBF Managers Chuck and Anne Geyer had attended a National Direct Marketing Conference where they were first inspired by farm goat walk. The following year, their curiosity about the concept led to a chance presentation that included a meeting with a consultant who was willing to come to the farm to help get the idea “off the ground”.

September 2000, visitors noticed an odd farm addition near the Berry Farm market! Utility poles were going up, narrow wooden ramps connected inverted bulk bins, a juice can and a pulley system were added to help create the unique idea. You have to see it to believe it!

Since its construction, visitors have been very curious about the initial WBF Goat Walk! It is a novel adaptation of a farm habitat for goats and their kids! Goats are one of the surest footed, nimble and adventurous farm animals anywhere! They are born naturally to climb and just love to – heights are no problem for these agile farm friends! A Goat Walk seems only natural! Of course, watching the goats on the walk is just plain fun!

The part the Geyer’s, parents of active twin girls and a son, like best is the message the Goat Walk and its kids convey about the farm they call home. WBF is a farm for “kids “– of all kinds and ages! Like wise, WBF Goat Walk to the stars is a place to explore in a multitude of dimensions, and levels, also with a tasty snack never too far away!
